The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) is seeking qualified architects and engineers to provide proposals for a conditions assessment and a feasibility study of the existing elevators to provide for recommendations for refurbishment or replacement (RFP#7616). The services include a full review of all elevator reports and logs, site investigations of the related equipment and structures, feasibility analysis of two (2) options for interventions to meet the Client’s goals, a report to include a cost comparison, and schematic drawings. The design phase services include the development of a full set of construction documents, a cost estimate and to provide for all required filings of the project.
Baruch College, Newman Vertical Campus, is situated on Lexington Avenue near the Flatiron/Gramercy Park district of Manhattan, Baruch College is in the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic financial and cultural centers. The College is within easy reach of Wall Street, Midtown, and the global headquarters of major companies, firms, and organizations.
Interested Proposers must: (1) have completed projects of similar size, dollar value, scope and complexity;
(2) have successfully completed projects performed under the Project Labor Agreement (PLA); (3) possess prior experience involving LEED certified projects preferred; (4) demonstrate project estimating capabilities; (5) an established QA/QC program (6) demonstrate experience providing the services described in this RFP and the Sample Contract; (7) certify that Licensed Professional Engineers with current NYS Registration shall perform all services constituting the practice of engineering in New York State; and (8) certify that a Licensed Architect with NYS Registration shall perform all services constituting the practice of architecture in New York State.
DASNY contributes to the economic development of New York State by assisting and supporting Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB) through its procurement process.
