Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the first new State University of New York zero-net, carbon-certified residence hall on campus. SUNY, in partnership with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, will begin construction of the $33.5 million, 257-bed, residence hall project at SUNY Polytechnic Institute's Utica Campus. It is expected to be open for student residents by August 2020.

Governor Cuomo Announces Three Design-Build Teams Selected to Receive Request for Proposals for a New World-Class Public Health Laboratory Project
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced three design-build teams have been selected to receive a Request for Proposals, enabling them to compete for a contract for the design and construction of a new $750 million world-class, state-of-the-art public health laboratory that will replace Wadsworth Center’s aging facilities. The lab is expected to attract approximately 1,200 life sciences jobs and generate about $2.3 billion in economic activity for the region over the life of the project.
DASNY Bonds Provide NYU With Financing to Build Additional Classroom Space, Equip New Science Center, and Improve Energy Efficiency

The financing will be used in conjunction with previous financings to advance construction and renovation projects throughout the university system. The $862.8 million issued by DASNY on behalf of NYU was offered as $603.5 million in tax-exempt bonds and $259.3 million in taxable bonds.
The State University of New York announced today its partnership with the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority to start its first zero-net carbo-ready retrofit project on a campus for SUNY Oneonta’s Ford Hall. Empire State Development (ESD) today announced the completion of Marist College Steel Plant, a state-supported renovation and expansion of a former steel fabrication plant in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County. The new facility will serve as a fine arts and fashion hub dedicated to business and career development. ESD provided $2.5 million in grants through the Mid-Hudson Regional Economic Development Council (MHREDC) and the project has also been awarded an additional $491,000 in funding from the Higher Education Capital Matching Grant Program (HeCap) board, which is administered by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY). The project supports the success of New York’s holistic economic development strategy for revitalizing downtowns and reinforcing placemaking throughout the state.
DASNY and The Arc New York Close on a $7 Million Tax-Exempt Equipment Lease Transaction Delivering State-of-the Art Equipment to New Yorkers with Disabilities
