Bushell, Ph.D., President and CEO of The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY), announced today that DASNY’s headquarters in Albany has been certified as LEED-EB (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design – Existing Building) Gold by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS) today announced the opening of the Champlain Valley Family Center Recovery Campus, a new residential detox and rehabilitation facility in Clinton County. The site, in Schuyler Falls, will have 18 withdrawal and stabilization beds, also referred to as detox beds, and will also provide residential treatment. This opening is part of Governor Cuomo’s efforts to expand treatment and rehabilitation services in the North Country. The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services contributed approximately $3.5 million in capital funding for this project, and is providing $720,000 in annual funding to support operation of the facility.

SUNY Geneseo President Denise A. Battles and Campus Auxiliary Services (CAS) will host the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of Red Jacket Dining Complex. The ribbon cutting will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21. The event will take place during SUNY Geneseo’s Homecoming and Family Weekend. A brief reception will be hosted at the Twisted Fork station with the dining complex.

This project is part of roughly $59 million in capital renovation projects DASNY is completing on SUNY campuses statewide.
Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced approximately $585.2 million in low-cost, tax-exempt bonds has been issued through the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York on behalf of 56 school districts. This financing is the largest pooled school district issuance in DASNY history.
