Media Advisory: Public Scoping Meeting for New York State Department of Health Life Sciences Public Health Lab Set for March 26

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) will host a public scoping meeting for the new New York State Department of Health Life Sciences Public Health Lab 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 26, at the College of St. Rose, Touhey Forum, Thelma P. Lally School of Education, 1009 Madison Avenue in Albany.

On behalf of the New York State Department of Health’s Wadsworth Center, DASNY is managing the programming, design, and construction of this project, which will be located on the W. Averell Harriman State Office Building Campus in Albany.

As part of the project’s State Environmental Quality Review process, this public scoping meeting will enable the public to provide focus on potentially significant adverse environmental impacts to be covered in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS). These comments will be considered in the development of the DEIS, which is expected to be published for public comment later this year.

Advanced registration is recommended to provide oral comments at the hearing. A link to register can be found online at  www.dasny.org. Written and electronically mailed comments will be accepted until April 15 at: [email protected]
