DASNY Bond Volume Is 3rd in Nation for First Half of 2003
The Dormitory Authority was the third-largest issuer of municipal bonds in the nation for the first six months of 2003, according to today’s The Bond Buyer, a daily newspaper covering the financial markets.
The Authority sold $3.204 billion in bonds from January-June 2003, the newspaper reported. The largest issuer was the state of Illinois, with $10.46 billion, followed by the state of California with $6.086 billion.
Data for the rankings is compiled by Thomson Financial Securities Data. The Bond Buyer’s rankings of the top municipal bond issuers for the first six months of 2003 are:
