DASNY Among Top Bond Issuers for 2002

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York has brought bond sales to market more times than any other municipal issuer for the first nine months of 2002, according to today�s edition of The Bond Buyer, a financial newspaper.

In its �Market Statistics� section, The Bond Buyer also noted that the Authority is the sixth-largest issuer by volume for the same time period. The Authority�s September 12th issuance of $1.074 billion in bonds to refund debt for the State University of New York�s educational facilities was the second-largest issue in the nation that month. The New York Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority�s September 19th refunding sale of $2.157 billion was the nation�s largest for September 2002.
