DASNY: Most-Frequent Bond Issuer in 2000

The financial newspaper The Bond Buyer reported today that the Dormitory Authority went to market for its clients more often than any other municipal issuer in the country during the year 2000.

Statistics published in The Bond Buyer showed that the Authority sold 37 bond issues during the year, followed by the California Housing Finance Authority with 29 issues, the city of Chicago, Ill., with 25 and the state of California with 11.

In terms of dollar volume, the Dormitory Authority remained one of the top issuers in the nation. The Bond Buyer rankings showed the following:
