From Albany County Airport:
- Make left from airport onto Albany Shaker Road. Follow signs for NYS Thruway. Travel approximately 1 mile to traffic light (Desmond Hotel on right).
- At the light, make a right onto I-87 South.
- Go approximately 2 miles to where the road forks; bear right.
- Immediately after this, the road forks again; bear left for I-90 East.
- Go approximately 3-4 miles to the intersection of 787 (this will be a right hand exit). Stay in the right-hand lane.
- Take the second exit - Clinton Avenue. At the bottom of the ramp at the light, make a left onto Broadway.
- Turn left at the second traffic light onto Columbia Street for the parking garage.
Parking:
Official visitors to the Authority's building will be allowed to park on the second deck of the parking garage. All visitors must indicate to the parking attendant that they are DASNY visitors in order to be allowed on the second deck. Parking to be paid for by the Dormitory Authority must be validated by the sixth floor receptionist and brought to the receptionist by Authority personnel. Validation of parking garage receipts (from the lot at the rear of the building) will be available ONLY to clients of the Dormitory Authority and employees from the Buffalo and New York City Offices. Vendors and visitors will not be eligible.
From NYS Thruway:
- From Exit 23, take I-787 North 1.3 miles to Exit 4 (Routes 9 & 20 West) to Downtown Albany.
- Turn left at the first traffic light, heading toward Broadway.
- Proceed under the underpass and turn right onto Broadway (North).
- SUNY Plaza will be on your right.
- Bear right at the second traffic light to stay on Broadway.
- The next building North is the James T. Foley Courthouse/Federal Building.
- DASNY is the next building North of the Federal Building, at the corner of Broadway and Maiden Lane.
- Proceed past the DASNY building, take right at light (Columbia Street) for parking garage.

From Rensselaer Train Station (Amtrak):
- Make a left out of the Amtrak parking lot (East Street).
- Take left onto Partition Street (Stewart's is on the corner).
- Make left onto Broadway at next light.
- Make right at 3rd traffic light. You will be on the entrance ramp to the bridge.
- When going over bridge, stay in right lane. Take the first exit. This will take you onto Route 787 North.
- Take 787 North, bear right, take Colonie Street exit.
- At light, make a left. Go to Columbia Street, make a right. Immediatly take left for the Authority's parking garage.
