The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) has adopted the Uniform Certification Application and a Supplemental Application Form consisting of ten simple questions as its Registration Application. Registration with DASNY is independent of and not related to any other registration, classification or certification by other Local, State or Federal government departments.
However, if you have been certified by Empire State Development, Division of Minority and Women's Business Development (DMWBD) within the past twelve months, you may submit a copy of your DMWBD application along with all required supporting documents, Certification Letter from DMWBD and a completed DASNY Supplemental Application Form.
If you have not been certified by DMWBD within the past twelve months, you must complete the attached Certification Application and DASNY Supplemental Application Form and submit them along with all required supporting documents to:

If you wish to get certified with the State of New York, simply send a copy of your completed application and required supporting documents to: Empire State Development, One Commerce Plaza, 9th Floor, Albany, NY 12245.
DASNY Registration will only be granted to businesses that have been in existence for at least one year and which are owned and controlled by American Citizens, Eskimos and/or Aleuts. DASNY Registrants are entitled to receive direct Notice to Bidders on DASNY projects and other technical assistance.
